Md. Zahid Hasan holds a Master of Social Science (MSS) and a Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Journalism & Media Studies from Jahangirnagar University, achieving First position in both. He currently serves as a Lecturer at WUB, where he teaches critical courses including News Gathering and Writing, Cyber Journalism, Conflict and Crisis Journalism, Principles of Public Relations, and Speech Writing and Public Speaking.
Alongside his teaching role, he is a Research Associate at the Economic Research Group (ERG), where he manages and analyzes large-scale household datasets and formulates mixed-methods research methodologies. His diverse background includes serving as a Policy Researcher for UNESCO in Dhaka, where he analyzed national legislative frameworks like the Data Protection Act 2023, and working as a Master Trainer in digital skills for the JAAGO Foundation. Additionally, he led the 'Pause, Verify, Protect' project, a comprehensive workshop on digital awareness, fact- checking, and online safety, supported by the Centre for Critical and Qualitative Studies (CQS, ULAB) and the British Council.
